Racing offshore.
Teaching it along the way.

I'm Annie. Platform engineer by day, double-handed offshore racer on the weekends. This site is where the short videos I share on Instagram open up into the real learning — diagrams, decisions, lessons from the cockpit.

The Library

Watch the reel. Then go deeper.

Every Instagram video has a full write-up here — diagrams, real-race context, and the bits I couldn't fit into 60 seconds. See them all on Instagram →

Why this site exists

A learning hub, not a highlight reel.

Sailing has a high jargon wall. Most explanations either talk down to you or assume you already know what a kicker does. I'd rather just explain things the way I wish someone had explained them to me — clearly, with diagrams, with the trade-offs spelled out.

Every article on this site started life as a 60-second Instagram video. The site is where I get to actually finish the thought.

Stay in the loop

New article every fortnight.

Race recaps, sail-trim explainers, the occasional unflattering on-watch story. No spam, no jargon, no "founder energy".
